Semester-Ticket

The semester ticket allows students of the University and the OTH Regensburg to make as many journeys as they like in the entire network area for a mandatory contribution of 119 EUR per semester. 

A valid student ID in combination with a valid identity card or passport serves as a ticket. The travel authorization is not transferable and is not valid for visiting students.

Validity

For Students of the OTH Regensburg

• in the summer semester from March 15th to September 30th 
• during the winter semester from October 1st to March 14th

For Students of the University of Regensburg

• in the summer semester from April 1st to September 30th
• during the winter semester from the October 1st to March 31st

Upgrade to the Deutschlandticket for students at Regensburg Universities and the University of Passau

Details About the Upgrade:

• The upgrade to the Deutschlandticket is available as a monthly cancellable subscription in the RVV webshop.
• From October 2025, the surcharge will be EUR 18.17 per month for students in Regensburg and EUR 31.42 per month for students in Passau.
• The Deutschlandticket is not transferable and is only valid for one person at a time. It is not possible to take other people with you.
• The ticket is valid throughout Germany for the whole day on local public transport and local rail transport.

Order in the RVV Webshop (Ordering via the RVV-App Is Not Possible):

1. Register (for new customers only): Click on "Registrieren" in the webshop (abo.rvv.de). Enter personal data and assign a password. Please enter your first and last name exactly as they appear in your university's Shibboleth system. Open your e-mail box and click on the activation link in the mail from the RVV.
2. Log in: Enter your e-mail and password in the webshop abo.rvv.de under "Anmelden".
3. Order ticket: Select "Deutschlandticket Studierende" for Regensburg or Passau, complete the verification process, and enter your IBAN to complete your subscription. You will receive further information about your order and the verification process by e-mail.

Tickets by E-mail Every Month:

• You will receive your tickets by e-mail every month. You can save the digital ticket directly on your smartphone via the wallet link in the email.

• The amount due is debited monthly.

• Your subscription will automatically renew until the end of the semester.

Cancel Your Upgrade:

You do not want to use your Deutschlandticket next month? Then the cancellation must be made by the 10th of the current month.

1. 1. Log in: Enter your e-mail and password in the webshop abo.rvv.de under "Anmelden".
   2. Cancel subscription: Go to "Meine Daten" → "Kontodaten" to call up an overview of your subscriptions. There you can cancel your subscription.

Bus Connection of the University Campus

• All year round: lines 2, 4, 6 and 11
• In addition: line 19 from the Bad Abbach area, line 21 from the southern district of Regenburg and line 38 from Neutraubling
• During the lecture period at the university of Regensburg: extended service by campus-lines C1, C2, C4 and C6 as well as line X6

• Bus lines: 2, 7 and 11
• From the university campus: line 11 in the direction of Burgweinting

• Location: Sedanstraße 1, 93055 Regensburg
• Bus line: 1, among others
• Bus stop: Weißenburgstrasse
• From the university campus: lines C1, C6, 6 or 11 to the central station, changing to line 1 in the direction of Pommernstraße
